
I used to be such a happy person filled with good feeling thoughts. I smiled all the time. I was known for my smile. Then came debt and thinking about paying it back, Over time, with repetitive negative thoughts, it turned my focus from seeing the brighter side to fearing the dark side.
After running into panic and anxiety attacks I finally saw the light. No matter how hard it would be I had to stop the negative thinking, mostly around the lack of money, and power the positive grateful thoughts. I am lucky for many reasons. One of them is I know the power of the thinking mind. And so began the battle to take back control that heightened anxiety was showed I had lost.
Being grateful for all that I have was a great inspiration and powerful force in my mind. It was like my front line defence against fearful thoughts and worries. Money, lack of it and lack of ways to earn it, had been the main focus of my anxious negative thoughts. There were other things but none as powerful as the fear of staying in debt.
After fighting and still feeling anxious I needed another way. I researched anxiety. Read and listened to books on the topic. Watched and listened to recordings. It all lead me to one conclusion. I had to allow myself to change my thinking, This would involve letting the fearful thoughts pass by whenever they came. I had to make all negative thoughts visitors in my mind instead of tenants or owners of thought focus.
The physical reactions to my thoughts were hard to deal with. The dizzy spells, feeling sad and overall sick happened the most. Once I knew it was created in my mind I saw a light, dim at first but still a visible light. I’m not out the tunnel yet. But I am heading in the right direction.
I don’t have all the answers. No one does. But I do know lots that can help you to help yourself more, if you will allow it to help. Just like packing a bag for a trip abroad I needed to make sure I had most if not all of what I would need to make the journey smoother and definite. So here are the 3 things I knew I had to accept to successfully continue my personal journey to stronger mental control, peace and greater happiness.
- Think Happy Feel Happy NOW!
This is a vital factor for true personal growth. It can also be so very hard to do and keep doing. When you think a happy thought you feel happy. This happens instantly. Feeling happy NOW creates happy moments in the immediate future. But this stops once control is given to a bad feeling thought.
Some say be grateful for what you already have. But that is not always seen as being enough. This can be because more energy is given to thoughts of wants and needs than to gratitude. This is not just about offering guidance to follow. It’s about ensuring that the great value of being happy in the moments of each single day is fully understood, and the need for daily good-feeling thoughts and actions is accepted.
Be very aware of where your attention goes to and where it stays. Listen to your thoughts. Be ready to change the based on how they are making you feel.

2. Take back control and response
There will always be external factors that have the power to take away our happiness, depending on how we react to them. Sometimes we take more control than we give in the different situations and experiences life presents. The first action is to consciously be aware of this. Then you can do something about it. Then you can take more control of yourself and how you react to whatever happens.
I once met a man who said life is hard and always will be. He had been in business for over 20 years, successfully. But he kept telling me about his losses and failures and how he would never forget them. He pointed to his new Rolls Royce car saying it took him too long to get it. He should have been better, faster, more crude and cunning. Then he said the best thing is he is always ready for things to go wrong.
He chose to focus on fear and failure. He placed his thinking energies towards it and gave up control of his reactions. He wrote into his future things he didn’t really want to happen. Worst of all he removed all focus from his achievements, showing little or no gratitude at all. He chose to allow himself to be controlled more than he actively took control.
Watch what you ask for in your thoughts and words. Pay close attention. Notice how those who always have a bad tale to tell seem to always have a new bad tale. They seek it and t seeks them. Like attracting like. It is a choice that is made by you or with your allowance. Do it long enough and it becomes part of you.
If you really want to live a great amazing life start by thinking that way right now. Allow yourself to see the good side, be the good side, think good thoughts and do good things. This is how you take back control and response in your life.
3. Create Great Moments
Capturing the moment in life is a special thing. We all do it for special occasions. What if we all saw it as a special power that we should use to focus on the good feelings we want to have. It’s the ‘Midas’ touch effect. We touch our minds with good thoughts and they instantly turn into golden feelings. We feel the glow until we dim the light with different thoughts. So simple yet also so hard to accept and do.
How amazing would life be and become if we all carried good thoughts. It would be like the euphoric energies created by a counties team winning a sporting competition. One difference would be how long it would last. In reality our world always has a universal thought direction.

The ‘Covid’ pandemic and the planet-wide lockdown it created promoted and directed the universal thought to become negatively overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. But in the mist of it all peace and rebirth still happened. As we came out of the pandemic we went into energy price rises, cost of living increases and the effect of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Instead of being engulphed by negativity I choose to see the higher value of good. And so should you. If you can still create good memorable moments when all around you is screaming bad you will continue to improve your life no matter what happens.
Take the words of this blog as guidance that if you choose to follow it will take you to greater places. Give yourself a chance. See what could go well. Seek the good feeling. I know it can be hard, very hard to do this with all the noise in the media information and often overloaded world we live in. Try and keep trying to find and focus on the good sides.
